Regular Visit
At the Visitor Center the visitor will be shown a film about the construction and operation of the Itaipu Dam and about the environmental conservation efforts in the area. Afterwards, the visitor will be transported by motorcoach to the observation deck in front of the Dam. Continuing the tour, visitors will be taken to the top of the Dam.

Special Visit
The special visit must be requested in advance. This tour is available to any one with a limit of 12 people per group (over 12 years of age). It is a visit to the external and internal parts of the Power Plant, with three stops: at the Spillway Observation Deck, at the Central Observation Deck, and at the Production Building.

Technical Visit
The technical visit must be requested in advance. This tour is available to engineering and technical professionals; students of civil, mechanical and electrical engineering from technical schools; and specially invited authorities. It includes a guided tour of the external and internal areas of the Plant, with a limit of 12 people per group.
Important: in the internal areas of the Power Plant shorts and sandals are not allowed.
