Argentine side of Iguazu Falls
Itinerary: It is a day tour, pick-up and drop-off at the hotel. For people that are at hotels in Brazil, there are borders to cross to reach the park. As on arrives in the National Park in Argentina, there are three trails to cover. The tour guide will be walking with people on the trails, in the Iguazu National Park. According to the number of people in the park, he will decide what to do first. The Upper Trail at the top of the waterfalls it is all flat. This trail will give an amazing and a close view of the San Martin Waterfall. There is another trail called Garganta or Devils Throat and is the highlight of Iguassu Falls, and it is the main attraction in the park and the most impressive one at 269 feet high (82 meters), people need to catch a train to reach it. The last trail is the Lower Trail reachable also on foot, only part of it is flat. This trail will lead to the Bossetti Waterfall. One can manage to see other waterfalls from different angles. If someone is tired, there is a chance to stop and have a break. There are restaurants in the park with air-conditioning.
 
Upper Trail
click to enlargeThe upper trail starts 3/4 mile from the Visitors Center. From the Upper Trail called Paseo or Circuito Superior in Spanish, visitors can see the top of the Argentinean Falls. The San Martin Island and part of the Brazilian side of the Falls. It is a 1,750 meter (1 mile) round trip. There are no stairs on this trail, so wheelchair access is possible.

Lower Trail
click to enlargeThe Lower trail, Paseo or Circuito Inferior in Spanish is a 1,400 meter (7/8 mile) long loop trail that allows visitors to see the various smaller Argentinean waterfalls. It starts at 1,500 meters (1 mile) from the Visitor Center. This trail is equipped, with restrooms and a snack bar. On the lower track, it is possible to get close to the Argentinean Carlos Bossetti falls.

Devil´s Throat Trail Iguazu Garganta CLOSED
click to enlargeThe largest quantity of water passes through this part of Iguassu Falls. Named Garganta del Diablo, the Spanish words for Devils Throat, this part of the Falls is very high; 80 meters (266 feet) high. The visitor can get to within a few meters of Devils Throat by walking on the catwalk (2.200 meters or 1.3 mile round trip). There are no stairs on the walkway. To reach Devils Throat one most get on the Ecological Train of the Jungle. People don´t need to show any ticket for it. As you are in the park one can use the train at any time. Another alternative to reach Devils Throat is walking on a dirt road for 2.365 meters (almost 1.5 miles).

San Martin Island
click to enlargeFOR SAFETY, THE ISLAND IT IS CLOSED SINCE DECEMBER 2018. No one knows when they will reopen it.
San Martin Island is accessible by ferryboat from the Lower Circuit trail. There is a loop trail on the island, to reach it the visitor must climb 174 very steep steps. There are new rails to help people to get to the top. This is not a climb recommended for the elderly, people with physical disabilities or heart conditions. The last ferryboat departs at 3:45 p.m. (summertime) and 3:00 p.m. (winter time).

How to buy an advance ticket for the Iguazu National Park in Argentina
There is a chance to buy the voucher for a ticket of the Iguazu National Park in Argentina online in advance: online tickets for the Iguazu Falls in Argentina.
After buying, one must print the voucher and bring it. As arriving in the park one must show the voucher, ID or passport to collect the tickets, prices varying according to the nationality. One can also buy the tickets at the entrance of the park.
