Bird Refuge
In Guarani "guira" means bird and "roga" means house, guira-oga = house of birds. Staffed by specialists in the recovery of birds of prey, this center works in the rescue and recover endangered and wounded birds (especially birds of prey).
The facilities located in the middle of the jungle, were built on natural forest clearings as not a single tree was cut down. This refuge offers a model of how to live in true peace with the environment. It is an unforgettable hiking experience that offers direct contact with local flora and fauna.

Horseback Adventure in the Subtropical Rainforest
Take a step back in time as you ride a horse along a beautiful subtropical rainforest trail and experience special moments surrounded by the natural beauty of the environment. The trail passes through a village of a local indian tribe, the Guarani, where a glimpse of their live stile can be experienced.

Aripuca (The Trap)
An aripuca (aripuca = trap) is a handmade trap of sticks. It is used by the indians to catch birds. With the right bait, birds are attracted to the device and caught in it.
The Aripuca recalls the shape of indian aripucas but was built to reflect the richness of the Misiones Forest. At the Aripuca visitors find wood specimens from both countries (Argentina and Brazil) displayed in a unique way. Visitors are guided by specialists.

Imagenes de la Selva Museum
In the museum one finds Rodolfo Allous sculptures in wood based on jungle images. He is a dentist and was born in Paraguay. His parents were related to Jules Verne (the writer). Sculpting the natural wood into strange forms, he gets the essential human forms from branches and trunks. In the museum there are also sculptures by Jorge Cafrune and Horacio Quiroga. Open Monday to Saturday from 8h to 12h and 15h to 18h (entrance fee USD $3).

Humming Bird Garden (Jardin de los Picaflores)
The bird lovers will find in this place 15 species of local humminbirds arriving from the subtropical rain forest. This garden is in the backyard of the Argentine woman house. She dedicating part of her life beautifying the garden. The humming birds and butterflies love to show up and enjoy the beautifull scenery. Entrance fee is USD $3.00.

Indio Solitario (Orchids)
At this site one can find orchids from the subtropical rain forest cultivated by a native man.

Catamaran on the Parana River
2 hours on a catamaran. On the way, there is a stop at Puerto Bertoni. One can see the native dance of fertility and also the Three-Frontier Landmark. Tours depart when the moon is full and on weekends. Daily departures during tourist season, one must check and see about it in advance.

Three borders landmark
Nearby Puerto Iguassu downtown, the same waters that flow through the largest series of waterfalls on the Planet create another sight when flowing into the Parana River. The Iguassu and the Parana Rivers mark the borders between Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay.

Dra. Marta Schwarz Museum
The "El Angel de la Selva" museum, in English "the angel of the jungle" used to be the house and office of the Dra. Marta Schwarz. She made her history helping poor people in a time that money was just a detail. It is a historical and a cultural place.

Boat trip to see the three borders
One sees the meeting of waters is the confluence between the Parana River, and the Iguassu River dividing the three countries, Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina. There are boats available at the site. The tour also gets people under the Fraternity Bridge between Brazil and Argentina.

Located in Puerto Iguaz town, the IceBar has walls, glasses, tables and chairs are made of ice. The temperature is -10c and you can stay in there for 30 minutes.

Wanda Mines Misiones Argentina
On the way to the Jesuit Missions ruins in Argentina there is a village named Wanda Mines, where you can closely see the extraction and lapidarian of stones.
